removing sound deadening

Post by gmcintyre87 on Fri May 01, 2009 8:16 pm

In an effort to compensate for the driver, i am going to remove the sound deadening from the excel, it was a random idea today when me and my mate were discussing it, and we decided to go and buy dry ice tomorow morning and have a go!! my mates doing his rx7 and im doin my excel looks much easier using dry ice, rather than sitting there with a hammer and chisel... so i will try take photos and let you all know how easy it is, and how much weight ive recovered!

hahah get stuffed rosco...

just done the job in 1.5hrs, so simple just spread the dry ice around, and leave it 15-20mins and listen to it crackle, then have a few hits with the hammer and then scrape it out. [img][/img]
